Mandarin Duck is run by Luo Tao from Studio 1 Happyhills. Luo specialises in designing and creating hand printed/painted products including cards, scarves, lamp shades, and limited edition relief prints and is proud to be part of Craft Town Scotland.

Luo Tao graduated from the illustration department of The Glasgow School of Art in 2009. She has exhibited her limited edition prints in Glasgow, Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway and London.

"At Mandarin Duck,  each object is decorated by hand, resulting in unique outcomes each time. The creative process is inspired by the natural world and the  organic beauty that can be found in everyday life. It is extremely important to Mandarin Duck that the products made are as individual as the customer.

A product from Mandarin Duck makes a perfect gift for any occasion and I strive to keep prices competitive.

A series of workshops will be available over the following months including printmaking and traditional Chinese crafts, there will also be opportunities for young and old to attend these. I have experience of working with children across Ayrshire and The Burrell Collection".
